Though oft by insignificance my sinful heart is grieved,
God’s supreme significance o’er all will soon relieve,
my burden, in the thought that he has taken thought for me.
When his son shall be my only Thought, from my burden I’ll be free.
Though my pride should buffet and conceit may blind my Way,
The Spirit himself is busy to consider my estate,
to see Christ’s Greater glory, he opens up my eyes,
puts passion in my heart to strive for greater Prize.
Though now unsatisfied be every earthly joy,
And all my vain desires his Truth will soon destroy,
Here below I live for the name above all names;
Heavenly Joy within my heart, his grace will there enflame.
